Stuffed Hot Peppers
This recipe it pretty straight forward, but absolutely delicious! Stuffed hot peppers are a favorite in our house in the summer time because we grow our own peppers.
Ingredients:
1/2 Pound Ground Hot Sausage
6 Wax Peppers
3/4 - 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese - Shredded
Marinara Sauce
Preparation:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
2. Wash peppers, remove tops, cut in half, remove seeds
3. In the hollow portion of the pepper, add hot sausage (just enough to be rounded over the top of the peppers, especially if your peppers are a little smaller)
4. Place pepper side down sausage side up on a foil lined and greased (I use Pam) cookie sheet
5. Bake for approximately 25-30 minutes until the sausage looks cooked through
6. Sprinkle with Mozzarella Cheese, put back in oven
7. Cook 3-4 more minutes until cheese is melted and starting to brown
8. Remove serve with marinara sauce
